Welcome to Oconee Terracotta

At Oconee Terracotta we are producing a terracotta aggregate that is made from recycling clay pipe.  We have three distinct sizes, two of which are suitable for driveways and landscaping. Our third size, called “fines,” requires a longer refining process and is used mostly in sporting venues.

The Landscape Chip is an attractive addition to any planting.  The soft color is a perfect compliment to the greens of the garden.  Terracotta is a naturally porous material that allows the penetration of water while helping to retain moisture and conserve water wherever it is used as a mulch.  And it has the added benefit of not having to be replaced every growing season.

Our Pathway Chip is composed of the same material as the larger Landscape Chip, but is comparable in size to a pea gravel, which makes it easy to walk upon.  It is also an excellent permeable material for driveways and parking areas.

The Fines are a rich ceramic dust that is used on baseball diamonds as well as on tennis courts done in the French style.
